Das Wochenende habe ich zusammen mit einer Menge Schnee am Stadtrand von München verbracht. Dick eingepackt haben wir dort Schneespaziergänge unternommen und bei einer heißen Tasse Tee dem Treiben der Flocken vom Fenster aus zugesehen, das war herrlich. Schon auf der Autobahn wurde das Wetter jedoch mit jedem Kilometer, den wir zurückgelegt hatten, nässer, das Klima milder und vor unserer Haustür haben wir dann nur noch tiefe Pfützen, statt weißes Winterwetter vorgefunden. Und während in einigen Haushalten vielleicht immer nur der Christbaum hübsch geschmückt im Zimmer steht, habe ich einige meiner Lieblingsläden, wenn es um Dekoration und Einrichtung geht, abgeklappert und ein wenige frühlingshafte Frische in mein Wohnzimmer gezaubert.
This weekend I spent together with friends and a lot of snow on the outskirts of Munich. Warmly dressed we had a lot of fun in the snow, had a long winterwalk and watched the snowflakes with a nice cup of tea while sitting by the window. I had an amazing time! But right on the road back home the weather got with every kilometer we drove wetter and wetter, the climate warmer and warmer. As we arrived my hometown there was nothing about winterwonderland, but deep puddles. And while some families still keep their Christmas tree richly decorated in their homes, I took a stroll through town in some of my favorite stores when it comes to interior, to conjure a first springlike freshness in my living room.
