Es ist verrückt, wieviele Leute sich dieses Jahr das Ja-Wort geben, vielleicht kommt aber auch mein Freundeskreis so langsam in das Alter, in dem man gerne mal den Bund für's Leben eingeht. Für mich sind solche Feste eine willkommene Angelegenheit meine liebsten Online-Shops aufzurufen und das Internet nach dem passenden Outfit zu durchforsten! Je länger man darüber nachdenkt, desto mehr kommt man jedoch ins Grübeln, was eigentlich angemessen ist. No Goes sind auf jeden Fall zu helle Kleidung, man will der Braut ja nicht die Show stehlen. Das ist manchmal gar nicht so einfach, denn auf einer standesamtlichen Hochzeit gibt es ja gewissermaßen keinen Dresscode. Was auch überhaupt nicht geht, sind meiner Meinung nach dunkle Töne wie Schwarz oder ein tiefes Blau oder Grau, sowas von trist! Derweilen besteht mein halber Kleiderschrank aus einer dunklen Farbpalette. Und: Auch wenn High Heels jedes Outfit optisch pimpen, so sollte man auf jeden Fall an ein Paar Ballerinas denken - irgendwann wird der Moment kommen, wo euch eure Füße umbringen! Ganz schön tricky, diese Hochzeitsgast-Sache... Am Ende zählt ja aber doch nur eins - dass die Braut den schönsten Tag ihres Lebens verbracht hat, ich finde, das macht auch ganz schön glücklich!
It's crazy, how many people are going to say YES this summer, maybe I'm just starting to get in that age where some of my friends are ready to tie the knot. Anyway, for me weddings are the perfect opportunity to check some of my favourite online shops and go on the hunt for an suitable outfit! The more you think about, the more you will start speculating what's really appropriate. For sure it's an absolute no go to wear light colors and to steal the bride's thunder. Sounds easy, but please give me a proper definition of light colors. There is no reals dresscode on the register office for the woman of the day. Another no go is wearing right the opposite: dark shades like black, deep blue or grey are dull and depressing. So of course I need to shop, after all half of my wardrobe is covered in dark colors. And: Even if high heels pimp every outfit you need to think of a second pair of shoes, some flats like ballerinas - there will be a moment late in the evening when your feet will thank you. Really tricky, this wedding guest thing... But in the end there is only one face that counts - to hope that the bride spent the most perfect day of her life - a thing, that makes me happy too!
